FLOOD OF DARKNESS
A flood of darkness
Has filled the whole night.
This unfamiliar road
Just does not seem right.
All comrades have moved on
The newcomers also went;
I am left lonely here
With no one in sight.
Some of them showed the way
And some obstructed –
Even on unhindered path
I couldn’t go further: try as I might.
Some of them only served
To misguide me
Getting stranded helpless and alone
Became my fate all right.
Had they not met me
And not came in my way,
It would have been much better;
My life would’ve been bright.
The unspoken grief of the mute mind
Is cursing them with spite;
Your turn, too, is near,
O you all laughing at my plight!
