I HAD THOUGHT
That you will pacify
My disappointed mind – I had thought;
That you will embrace
My weary body – I had thought;
That you will close tenderly
My yearning eyes – I had thought;
But –
– You behaved just the opposite
Abandoned my love
And went away.
My mind was stunned,
My body was scorched with anguish of parting,
And –
Covering my eyes with my own hands
I wept incessantly
In total solitude.
